This new project from Tom is a solo piano plus live sampling thing which he's been working on for a while now and is very excited about it. He premiered the work in a couple of gigs in London at the Vortex and the Cockpit Theatre and now wants to take it further afield. It's a solo show and quite intimate, but there's a very big dynamic range and a large sonic world - the sound of the piano gets morphed and sequenced and becomes like another instrument at times - there's a lot of improvisation and also through-composed pieces. He will also throw in some standards, which are great fun in this format.
