Hot Stone Fusion Massage

A Hot Stone Fusion Massage integrates the use of smooth water-heated stones and promotes deeper muscle relaxation, resulting in a seamless dance of stone and hands-on massage. The stones are used as a tool to release and unwind the most stubborn fascia knotting in a gentle and restorative way, identifying trigger points in the body and specific pain patterns. This also increases lymph flow and helps flush out waste.  It is said to have health benefits for people with muscular pain, poor circulation, back pain and stress to name just a few.  Never underestimate the feel good factor of a hot stone massage it will help you feel nurtured, pampered and revived.

Deep Tissue Massage

It is a unique massage that works on the physical, emotional and often spiritual levels. Designed to release pain in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia and relieve held-in tension, restoring comfort and harmony to the whole being. This includes acupressure massage, polarity and breath work using thumbs, fingers, knuckles and elbows, the re-alignment of muscle fibres and fascia, working deep around the scapula, hips and in the ribs. A Deep Tissue treatment relieves muscular congestion, aids the lymphatic system, improves circulation and enhances the functional quality of muscle tissue.  This massage helps to increase lymphatic circulation, nourishing and cleansing cells, flushing the body of harmful wastes and toxins.

MFR (Myofascial Release)

Myofascial release is a form of bodywork that aims to release areas where the fascia maybe tight or stuck. The techniques are applied slowly to allow the fascia to soften, lengthen and release.  The practitioner will apply a steady, gentle pressure into the tissues, and then slowly start to stretch the tissue, gently holding it until a release in the tissues is felt.  The techniques are not usually painful, but sometimes a mild burning or heat may be felt as the fascia releases.

Full Body / Swedish

A Swedish massage is an extremely relaxing full body treatment.  It increases the oxygen flow in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles.  It shortens recovery time from muscular strain, increases circulation and keeps ligaments and tendons supple.  It has shown to reduce emotional stress, induce relaxation and is suggested in a regular programme for stress management.  This type of massage is the perfect treatment to receive as your first experience in the complementary therapy arena.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet which correspond to all of the glands, organs and other parts of the body.  By applying pressure and stimulating the reflex points, the body can be brought back into balance and harmony, resulting in profound relaxation. It opens up energy pathways that were previously congested or closed and is a natural preventative healthcare treatment that can benefit everyone from young to old.

Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head massage, also known as Champissage, is where the shoulders, neck, head and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that are purported to cause a build-up of negative energy and result in ailments. The technique releases muscle tension, stimulates circulation and encourages lymphatic drainage. It stretches and mobilises the tissues of the neck and shoulders. This fully oxygenates the cells, improves blood flow to the head and neck, and increases the distribution of nutrients to encourage healing throughout the body.  It improves and stimulates scalp circulation which helps to promote texture combined with strength and growth of hair.

Facials and Fascial Massage

In our Facials and Facial Massage we use organic products, your skin will be cleansed, soothed and smoothed by this gentle but revitalising treatment. The massage movements have a wonderfully calming effect, relieving tension in the jaw and facial muscles. This treatment also improves circulation to the face and stimulates lymph drainage. You will quite simply feel and look better after this treatment.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is a deeply relaxing style of massage which combines various massage techniques with the use of carefully selected essential oils. These fragrant oils have unique healing properties which help to strengthen the body's self-healing process. Aromatherapy massage stimulates the immune system, encourages hormone balance, soothes the nervous system and relieves emotional, physical and mental tension. It's a great way to uplift the spirit, feel revitalised and install a sense of positivity and well-being.

Thai Yoga

Traditional Thai massage (Nuad Bo Rarn), often known as the 'lazy person's yoga', is a rhythmical series of movements including acupressure, soothing massage, yoga-like stretches and contains elements of reflexology.  It can help improve mobility and energy flow, alleviating back, neck, shoulder and hip tension.  This results in an opening of the body, leaving the client feeling deeply relaxed and energised at the same time.  Thai massage is carried out through loose comfortable clothing, performed on a Thai mat on the floor, lasts approximately 60 minutes and is suitable for most people of all ages, irrespective of their level of flexibility.
