The OAD Country Club is an event based on the Bowie nights and the Rum Runner/Blitz Club nights from the late '70s/early '80s.
MUSIC
Most of the tracks played originate from the early '70s up to the end of 1984, added to which will be some post-1984 tracks by the core artists.
There are normally half a dozen Bowie tracks added to which are a selection of tracks by artists such as Adam & the Ants, Bauhaus, Blondie, Clash, Cure, Damned, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, Heaven 17, Human League, Japan, Kraftwerk, Mott the Hoople, New Order, OMD, Ramones, Roxy Music, Sex Pistols, Simple Minds, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Soft Cell, Spandau Ballet, Sparks, Sweet, T Rex, Ultravox, Visage and many other artists from the Glam Rock, Punk, New Wave, Post-punk, Synth-pop and New Romantic genres, as well as occasional tracks from other genres of the time.
You will also hear a few tracks by post-1984 artists who were influenced by the era, such as Suede, Pulp, Morrissey, Placebo.
It will be a mix of hit singles, lesser hits, and album tracks.
