Description

Poco asked some of the South West's top chef's, "what is a sustainable plate of food?", and "What does a truly sustainable diet look like"?

In collaboration with the Chefs Manifesto*, and drawing on some of the leading scientific research into sustainable diets, we're working with these chefs to put together a banquet which highlights the Chef's Manifesto's 8 key manifesto points which outline ways in which chefs can contribute to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 2 - Zero Hunger. As chefs bridge the gap between farm and fork, chefs are powerful advocates for a better food future. The banquet will start with a welcome cocktail, canapés and a panel discussion on the sustainable future of food, featuring leading academics such as Tim Lang (author of Sustainable Diets) and Patrick Holden (Sustainable Food Trust), before moving on to a banquet set over several levels of the Colston Halls iconic atrium.

*The Chefs' Manifesto is a chef-led network bringing together a global network of like-minded chefs to explore how they can help deliver a sustainable food system and collectively work towards achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.** All profits of this event will be donated to Bristol Food Producers **
