Shuya Okino is one of the most important figures in the global crossover and jazz movement. DJ, producer, creative director and cultural curator, he is the founding member of Kyoto Jazz Massive, creative director of Kyoto Jazz Sextet, director of the Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival and owner of the legendary Tokyo venue The Room.
As a DJ, Shuya Okino has played at some of the world's most respected venues and festivals, including The Jazz Café and Notting Hill Arts Club in London, APT in New York, Southport Weekender Jazz Festival and Future Jazz Festival in Croatia.
We are honoured to welcome Shuya Okino to Shiftless Shuffle for the first time as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations.Expect Dancefloor Jazz, heavy Jazz Funk, Nu Jazz and deep Boogie.
