New Street Adventure are back!

After a six-year hiatus, New Street Adventure toured the UK in Autumn 2024 to mark the 10-year anniversary of their debut LP, No Hard Feelings. The experience, coupled with being asked by Aaron Frazer to accompany him on his 2024 European tour, providing guitar and background vocals, inspired Corbin to return to the studio and record a new New Street Adventure album.

What Kind Of World? Released 29 August 2025, is the most ambitious album the group has recorded to date, encompassing Corbin's deep love and obsession with soul music. Throughout What Kind Of World? there are nods to such influential soul artists as Syl Johnson and Curtis Mayfield (on the moody, blues-influenced title track), the crossover soul of Odyssey and Leroy Hutson (the uptempo 'Get You Back'), contemporary group Gabriels (northern soul-inflected 'A Taste Of Love'), Bill Withers ('What A Woman' - the first of many songs to feature Terry Lewis of Mama's Gun on lead guitar), and the timely inspiration of Sly & The Family Stone ('Everyone's A Music Maker').

Corbin's wisdom and maturity as an artist - not to mention a father - shines on songs such as the slow groove of low-rider track 'Busy With My Baby', the ballad 'The Next Chapter', 'Too Good Together' and, in keeping with the band's Stubborn Sons album, an acoustic album closer - 'When I See You With Him'.

New Street Adventure will appear live at The Night Owl in Birmingham on Saturday, 28th Februar,y performing their new album and old favourites live in an intimate setting!
