The Night Owl presents...
Flying Ant Day + Support
Flying Ant Day were formed in Stourbridge early 2015 with Bodmin Moore
(vocals), Steve Lowe (bass), Carl Bayliss (drums) and Andrew Boswell
(guitar).
Since then, the band have played a host of gigs mainly in the West
Midlands/Worcestershire area with the odd one further afield (Bristol, Oxford
& Nuneaton). The band mix elements of 60s beat, 70s punk/new-wave and
80s indie music with Bodmin's unique lyrics.
Their debut album 'Lemmings' was released in 2017 and was album of the
month in Ryan's Gig Guide that August. The long awaited follow up 'Do the
Flying Ant' was released in 2020 and received great reviews both locally,
SLAP magazine, and nationally in Shindig!
The band are currently promoting their third album, 'Écoutez et répétez',
which was released in December 2021. Produced by Sean Lloyd at Claptrap
the studio, it features a number of friends as guest vocalists - Becky Pickin
(Grande Valise), Gabriela Giacoman (French Boutik), Lorraine Payne (Lost
Wave Music) and Daria Tomalak (Vanilla Pods).
