An interactive experience introducing you to taxidermy, that's part wild foraged lunch, part talk, and part wild animal butchery.
You'll come away with full bellies and much food for thought.
Vegetarian butcher and taxidermist, Death Cafe host and wild food forager, Rachael Fountain began her journey into death at exactly the same time you did... at birth!
With a survivalist approach to our natural surroundings and seasons, her work addresses questions about society's attitudes to death, and meat.
There is a disconnect that has developed...
Can we really afford to be squeamish about dead animals if we want to eat them? You are welcome to explore tastebuds and ideas in this workshop and dining experience set in beautiful surroundings in the heart of Easton's secret garden...
All animals are ethically sourced and not killed for purpose and of course there's ridiculously good Vegetarian options available!
Menu:
Horse Mushroom pate and home baked breads
Wild Game Stew (Venison, Pigeon, Rabbit) Troopers Funnel Mushrooms smoked over Bay and Apple
Foraged Bristol Greens; freshly picked on the day served with Ramsons Butter and homegrown Urban backyard Veg.
Please get in contact with Finders Keepers Crafts with any questions. Curiousity always welcome.
10 - 1 Sunday 23rd June
£35 pp
