THURSDAY 20TH MARCH

Chicks Dig Jerks present

DOUVES (FR)

(MOSTA records)

Besieged by fog and the ramparts of a dungeon loaded with explosives, Douves keeps the oath made to its city to favour those who dare. Armed with throat-cutting strings and addictive melodies, the four knights embark on a holy yet loveless crusade, to the rhythm of the troops.

FERGY LH (BHX)

(LOVEBUZZ records)

6music dad-loving, non-award-winning post-punk, garage indie rock from Burrmingum. For fans of: The Bug Club, The Goa Express, Ty Segal

BUTTERFLY BULLDOZER (FR)

(MOSTA records)

Butterfly Bulldozer is a spaceship rising out of the fog of Nantes, ready to send you signals from intergalactic space. Floating between psychedelic rock and post-punk, with their atypically heterogeneous sound and omnipresent fuzz, our interstellar travellers borrow a singular abstraction, a complex and articulate narrative worthy of a Philip K. Dick novel. The relationship between man and machine, consciousness and self-determination are all part of an avant-garde science-fiction narrative that, through the use of artifice and a sense of urgency, invites us to address the salient issues of the day, in the face of a humanity whose free will and ethics are constantly threatened by scientific progress.

DJ OLD BORT (BHX)

(Kikamora records/Monoxide Brothers, Luxury Nan Smell, Exotic Pets)

Multi-instrumentalist, many-banded, artist, photographer, promoter and label co-boss Old Bort takes charge of the decks with a selection of garage rock, garage punk, alternative, weird and more.
